The quintessential fun mom - Devina of 'My Little Pudding'. Radiating with positive energy, her smile is infectious, in fact her little adorable pudding of a son - Armaan gets it from her. She's a britannica for moms. A super blogger, she indeed puts the sweetness in motherhood. If you're not following her blog, you indeed are missing out. I absolutely love & adore her. In fact, her positive energy was my biggest push when I started Parrot & Lily. So glad, I get to call her a friend.
One of her many talents is luxury travelling every second week (makes me jealous). So recently, I asked her to share one of her favourite experiences from the past. Here it goes....
One of our most memorable vacations was to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. We were there a year ago and it was just one of the most magical times with Baby Armaan. He was 7 months old and was just getting into the crawling stage so it was a lot manageable (travel-wise!)
We checked into The Banyan Mayakoba. It's a spectacular property on the Mayan Riviera. The rooms come with a private plunge pool and little garden which is perfect for a quick dip! The rooms are comfortable and with a choice of two pools on the property and the Beach(!) one can spend the whole day going from pool to pool, sun worshipping!
One of the coolest things is the canal that the hotel is built around. You can take a boat ride to the beach and see the mangroves, exotic birds and perhaps a sneaky crocodile or two! Armaan absolutely loved the boat ride!
I love to spend time outside the hotel and visit local shops and heritage sites so we made sure to take advantage of the Mayan ruins and the bazaars. We headed to Tulum which is one of my most favorite spots!
Since it was my second time there I decided to visit some old haunts- Coqui Coqui- which has one of the most coolest boutiques and killer micheladas! After hanging out there we head out to the Tulum Ruins and Markets before heading back to the hotel. Baby Boy Armaan was a trooper and enjoyed every second.
For more of the touristy vibe we head out to Downton Playa which was packed with tourists and packed with stores and bars. It was a little overwhelming especially with a little baby but I loved finding a couple of authentic Mexican boutiques. We ate at a local dive which gave us a sense of the town and local flair which is always needed. (How much room service can one order- am i right?!)
I can't wait to visit Tulum again and visit some other towns like Merida and Valladolid. Hoping to head back there for my birthday in fact (fingers crossed!)
