Louis XV wingback chair with transitional motifs

This unique rendition of a wing back chair features delicate bows, lean legs and an overall sense of lightness. The Louis XV framework is topped with a rare Louis XVI bow detail, picked from a fauteuil at Blenheim Palace. Light and young but rich in details and history.

The pictured piece is upholstered in 100% cotton batting using the most traditional methods, with the exception of horse hair which was omitted to keep it plant-based. The comfortable results of this technique can not be overstated. Pictured here with an exceptional screen-printed toile in a rare lilac and backed by a pure and simple linen.

May we also mention, this made-for-comfort seat demands to be accompanied by a footrest.
