Exquisite Third Empire Frame with Hera motifs
Pieces that are icons of moments in time.
The wonderful thing about academic pieces is that- regardless of the time period they are from - they are the room. It's the vessel, becoming the foundation for everything else in the space.
A rare early XIX century frame from The Third Empire is built bringing together rococo and classicism to have an effect of obvious grandeur. If the sum is indeed greater than its parts, and each and every part is exquisite, what would the sum be?
Proudly bearing the face of Hera, the frame alludes to her empire. Large feathers form her crown, while wild motifs ranging from cockles to rare foliage show through the frame bringing the diversity of world together.
