Console table inspired by classic Louis XVI with wreaths
"Heat can not be separated from fire, or beauty from The Eternal'" ~Dante
The unparalleled beauty of this delicate Louis XVI console that came out of our workshop has us in complete awe. It was pure love right from the paper drawings, the raw wooden look to the first coat of primer to finally the Venetian green. The timeless Venetian combination of subtle pistachio green with soft gold makes elegant magic whenever employed.
A return to straight lines, the laurel swags add exuberance. Fluted legs add a solemn look. Neoclassic swags, oversized rosettes and very thick rounds on very narrow legs add a contrast that makes this commode a masterpiece of it's era.
If your style is opulent yet you like to keep it elegant, then this is the chair for you. It's no secret that King Louis XVI & Marie Antoinette were passionate about exuberant yet sophisticated interiors. The turned, fluted legs meet the body of table with rosettes creating subtle yet extraordinary carving motifs. The needlepoint legs make this console table outstanding.
