Extendable console of Louis XVI quintessence

Academically correct motifs carved to perfection, proportions scaled to emphasise details, this one does hold a surprise- a traditional expanding two leaf top. This mechanism was employed in the XVIII century & had to be crafted with the most traditional techniques. All in our quest to outdo ourselves.

A return to straight lines. Fluted legs add a solemn look. Neoclassic swags, oversized rosettes and thick rounds on very narrow legs add a contrast that makes this console a masterpiece of its era.
