For a very rare exception, October became my favorite month of the year. And why not, Parrot & Lily was part of two very prestigious events back to back. I had to postpone my vacation and move my Diwali card party twice but life is quite sorted when you have good friends.
Apart from classic furniture & decor, my interests are quite concentrated. I love my daughter, can never get enough family travel, and it would be an understatement to say that I love the magic of wine. In fact, a lot of our travel is centered toward wine regions. I always feel that if you can experience the cuisine, the people and the terrain of a wine region, you can understand the taste of the wine.
So I was very thrilled when I was invited to be a part of wine event that La Cave wines had with The Oberoi, Gurgaon. 'The Fine Wine Affair' was exclusively the best in every aspect. Of course, how can someone possibly go wrong with Oberoi hospitality, their chef's culinary skills & fascinating wines from around the world by La Cave.
And now imagine our sublime furniture pieces illuminating their French and Italian wine sections. I was so glad to be here, we ended up making a three day vacation with Sayuri. While Sayuri was enjoying the beautiful swimming pools, I got to meet such wonderful people while enjoying some of the best wines out there. You can say that the easiest way to feel at home is sipping a Louis Jadot and munching on a beautifully curated cheese platter while sitting at my own couch at the Oberoi.
Less than a week later was the most celebrated annual gala dinner that IFCCI (Indo French Chamber of Commerce & Industry) holds. Their theme could not have been more befitting for our furniture & decor pieces - 'A Night in a French Chateau'. Thanks to their most gracious and gorgeous Secretary General Payal Kanwar, we were a part of this exclusive event.
Imagine walking through the dreamscape of water bodies at the Roseate and then being greeted with a Moet & Chandon in a french chamber created by Parrot and Lily. And then imagine entering a grand yet intimate gala while being served exquisitely.
